You need to take up few courses, prior to x ray technician certification. Both online and on- the-campus courses are available. But, while enrolling to these courses, you make sure that these courses are accredited to American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. For certification, students have to prove their proficiency in different procedures, which are a part of their job. You need to gain these aptitudes, through on-job training or through different degree programs. Only after pursuing Associate degree, you will be eligible for the licensure examination. Though, in some states, this exam is not mandatory.
